Individual Rooms
Each room is uniquely decorated with contemporary furnishings
All guests receive: (All inclusive)
The main house kitchen facilities are available for both units if you want to cook something bigger than a microwave dish.
Both units share the main house entry and public areas of the house with us. (Living room, dining room, breakfast room, laundry, kitchen, hot tub and decks)
The main living room has the large screen TV, DVR, and home theater system for movie nights. There is cable TV as well as plenty of movies to borrow!
The hot tub is located just behind the house and is only about 5 years old. It is the perfect place to get a jet massage while enjoying the redwood forest.
The Bay Area has many microclimates, the redwoods are chilly in the winter... and refreshingly cool in the summer
You always need to pack layers when traveling to the Bay area, especially in the summer where it can be 100 degrees in the wine country, and 57 degrees in San Francisco.
Due to the extensive windows at the Retreat in the Redwoods, it can can feel chilly at times, especially if you are from a warm climate....so please bring warm layers and do ask for throw blankets, wool slippers and light the fireplaces! No worries, we never run out of firewood in the forest!
The bedrooms have radiant wall heaters that can warm your personal room nicely, however, we try to conserve resources throughout the house!
Most people feel the Retreat in the Redwoods is very cozy, it is known for making early risers sleep till noon! We encourage you to sit by a roaring fire, open a bottle of local wine, utilize our slippers and throw a blanket over your lap... maybe even invite our lapdog Hansel for a visit! Which leads us to our most popular and favorite amenity....
"Must Love Dogs"
Pets are welcome, as long as they are 4 legged and bark (as opposed to meow).
We have 2 dogs residing at the house, Tasha, our senior Tibetan Terrier from the Humane Society, and Hansel, our 1 year old Miniature American Eskimo from the Milo foundation.
Both dogs are extremely friendly and loving.... and Hansel, Mr. Social, just adores meeting new friend to play with him!
Occasionally, we help the Milo Foundation with fostering some of their rescue puppies until they find good homes.

This is a magical place
that we call home...
We share it only to loving people
that appreciate the beauty
of the wilderness that only the
San Geronimo Valley can provide.
